Maggie’s Back in Town

Maggie’s Back in Town

Maggie came aboard in Singapore for her second time as crew. She joined us in Tahiti, Bora Bora and Raratonga last year. I met Maggie in San Diego as she was preparing for the Baja Haha and again in Mexico.

Since her last time as crew she has cruised Central America, crossed the Panama Canal and to the Caribbean. They visited Cuba, one of my do not miss destinations. Maggie then left the boat and did some land cruising even visiting my good friend Melba in BC.

Maggie is an excellent sailor but does enjoy the creature comforts of Furthur, I am glad to have her back.

Along with Maggie arrived a new crew member, another visitor from the home of the Queen and Mick Jaggar, another wonderful POM, Jenny. This is her first time on a cruising boat, what she lacks in experience she makes up in enthusiasm. She just completed her dive training and is eager to get wet in Thailand.

So with a varied and wonderful crew we explore the wonders of Malaysia. Last night we met a future crew member who took us to a lively open air Chinese Restaurant. Yoyo Yee is Chinese Malaysian, hence speaks several languages, one of which produced a feast for us to enjoy. Five of us dined on the exquisite cuisine till we were stuffed all for about $35 usd.

I heard from Findacrew that Furthur now has more past crew references than any other listed boat!! Good to know!
